Looks beautiful. Someone should take that as base for a new flightsimulator.

Considering the looks/performance ratio, THANK GOD we haven't seen many games powered by it. It looks nice and is good for benchmarking, but for games, no, no, no!

Why? If you can run X-Plane or FSX with high settings, Unigine should do perfectly.

Sanctions on russian economy may be affecting unigine's adoption?

            Nope.
First, Unigine wasn't popular with game developers even before Crimeea.
Second, the sanctions are more aimed towards their export of raw materials and banking sector.
Third, Kaspersky doesn't seem to be having any difficulties.

Great so now they can develop yet another implementation of their engine that doesn't even come anywhere near standards compliance. More years of working around bad programming that they refuse to back up with specs.

It seems there are more major updates to Unigine than there are games made with it. I'm not entirely sure why this has been this way for the past few years, but I suppose the reason these days is because of stuff like the Unreal engine.

Their price policy is quite bad, cheapest license is ~1500$. I.e. why would indie game developer would pay that, when you can get UE4 and unity 5 for free or cry engine 10$/month.

But gaming aside maybe they will be more successful on other industries:
Real-time 3D engine / VR platform for Simulation & Training, 3D Digital Twins, CAD, BIM, GIS. 3D graphics and physics library for ะก++ and C# developers.

Which standards are you talking about? This is a gfx engine, I didn't know there are standards for those.
