    The xf86-video-ati 7.7 release now supports using the TearFree rendering option when the display is using rotation/reflection.
    Holy shit it's finally here! I've been waiting for this for what seems like years! Thanks AMD people!

      I'll give it a try but I suspect it'll still crash when a display is turned off under Zaphod mode. I'm stuck on Xorg 1.17 because of that.
