Does nvidia-beta in Arch Linux ver. 364.16 support Vulkan? I have a GTX 960.

Of course there is interest! Are you kidding me, this is the most interesting thing that has happened since RadeonSI reached OpenGL4.2! :-D

        yes it does

i want to see if now the vulkan renderer is ALWAYS faster than opengl

I benchmarked it today before and after the patch, framerates were not affected for me.
Of course that doesn't mean that there weren't optimizations under the hood...

Anyway for what it's worth these are my average frame-rate results on the 60s benchmark; ultra settings, 4 x MSAA
          openGL- 58.7 fps
          Vulkan- 67.3 fps
          DirectX11- 104.1 fps

          i7 3770k
          R9 290 vapor-x on crimson 16.4.1 driver
          8GB RAM
Windows 10 (to compare all 3 API implementations)

Any chance you could rerun the GL and Vulkan tests under Linux on the same system just for comparison? (Or not worth the trouble cus AMD being what they are right now?)

Yea, as Michaels test pointed out that Vulkan on Linux runs faster than Vulkan on Windows (but, you are using AMD gpu so it might not be worth it).

For me performance on Vulkan is way under OpenGL performance... not sure why.

You guys are crazy. AMD's linux support for vulkan is much faster than their linux support for opengl. Clearly you didn't bother looking and just made up what you want to think.
