Look forward to seeing the improvements they make. GNOME seems to be getting a lot of usability testing this round which should make people happy. Can someone explain the papercuts in Firefox a bit more? It sound like from the wiki that it's improvements to the ui experience but why is it called papercuts? Is it a common term?

It's a fairly common term, coined by Ubuntu several years ago, for 'minor' bugs or missing features that are surprisingly painful.

When you're using a program, and it does something unexpected or makes it hard to perform some simple task, that can be very distracting.

Things like conflicting shortcuts, or buttons that don't work unless they're clicked twice (yay SystemSettings!), or icons that are invisible with the wrong colourscheme, or when you can't open more than one file without going through the dialog again...

So like getting a real papercut it's something that's slight annoying. That makes sense, thank you for sharing + the citation

Additionally, they are open to residents and nationals of the United States of any gender who are Black/African American, Hispanic/Latin@, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander.
          Ie. not white.

Honest question: How is this not racist?

Only white people can be sexist and racist. Now get to work so you can pay for everyone else and let your daughter share a bathroom with perverts..... Sorry if that's too real

Maybe it's a cultural differental or the loss of verbal meta tones, but I can't figure our the implied meaning.

Maybe Firefox will resolve the annoyance of Downloads popping up as its own window instead of an inline tab. Also the History spawning a dialog, less dialogs please.

In the US there's a cancer that wants to redefine discrimination to be " 'Power' + Prejudice" (for some definition of power) which is used to play discrimination against whites and particularly white males as perfectly okay (because by it's warped definition it's not discrimination), whereas if a white person, particularly a white male acts in a discriminatory fashion, it's the end of the world and they're worse than Satan himself. "Minority" vs "Minority" discrimination is also swept under the rug. The same types also push the "Men cannot be raped" line.

Stagerlee is being darkly humourous about that.

Off topic, but because it's not possible to discriminate against people who for the most part hold all the power, money and privilege.

I.e. it is discriminatory, but it doesn't matter.

It is not off-topic you dumb-fuck. Also There are black people who have power, money and privilege. Then you say it's okay to discriminate every black person? There are very successful and powerful Chinese people. So it's not wrong to discrinate every chinese person? The same with arabs, jews, women and every tag, race and bullshit you can came up with.

YOU ARE JUST A RACIST BIGOT WHO HATE WHITE PEOPLE. I'm not even white, but still. What you say makes no sense.
