        I am excited about their new chromebooks, not sure about the gpu but i would like to see this in a flip style chromebook.

          I tend to agree. Not only do they have some of the most cost-effective SoCs in the market, MediaTek's SP Flash Tool linux binary releases suggest they're using linux development boxes and Qt internally meaning their transition from android to linux should be smoother than most.
