    I don't understand why they let MS take center stage at events like this. I get the whole "MS luvs linux" spiel, but come on. Isn't MS still aggressive towards linux with their patents and stuff? Bah...

            Yep, it's normal and perfectly reasonable. MS has a long history of using EEE tactics to kill competition. There is absolutely no reason to think any different about this circumstance.

                  True, but any organizational behaviour expert will tell you that changing a corporate culture is one of the hardest things you can attempt, even when management is all for it.

                  Wariness is the only wise course of action... especially with their approach to Windows 10. Even if the gifts are open-source, Troy should still beware the Greeks bearing them.

                    I heard at Microsoft it was quite the opposite: most dev were already not against linux, but management was.
