As a user of an AMD graphics card, from what I understand, this is quite the big deal. Isn't the LLVM release one of the bits that will finally bring Opengl 4.3 support to the mainstream user? As always, I could be totally misunderstanding things. :P

I believe that GL 4.3 also requires kernel 4.7, but you're probably right about the LLVM requirement as well.

No, SI needs kernel 4.7+ for OGL 4.3, CIK & VI don't. LLVM is needed for all.
