Phoronix: Lennart's Look At Systemd This Year, What's Going To Happen In 2017

We have already covered some of the interesting talks from this year's systemd conference including how to use it for application sandboxing, a new wireless daemon coming to replace wpa_supplicant, and BUS1 is on the way. But saving the best for last in another presentation to watch this weekend for those interested in systemd: Lennart Poettering's state of the union address for systemd and a look ahead to 2017 features...

          2018 news:
Systemd is replacing Linux Kernel... ProtectedKernelCore rocks...
But experts advice not using it to access your bank account until some security bugs get ironed

While systemd is not perfect I am starting to get tired of those who have made it a sport to dislike it. It's very pathetic since you can after all copy systemd, modify it and make something better. It's a shame that people who are using Linux now starts to hate on each other instead of good old Windows, Billy boy, Steve etc...
Linux runs the world now (except the desktop and games) so please get a grip on reality. There are still options to systemd , if you dislike it so much - use the alternatives , that's why Linux is where it is today!

Indeed, however the major anti systemd crowd seams to have decreased by a large margin in the last year, they are now mostly concentrated to Slashdot where they all are Anonymous Cowards how for some reason always manage millions of servers and that systemd have forced them to switch to one of the BSDs.
