I would say they keep updating it regulary, just not upgrading it.

So, again, why would someone use this instead of the one already in Chrome? Which can be used in Chromium, too. I think it was pretty obvious from my comment I was talking about only the PPAPI version.

Chrome is debundling as of 55 or 56 I believe. I can image this is probably one of the reasons for the push to revive linux binaries.

Chrome supports 64bit only, so let say people who use 32bit wanna it.

But probably Adobe like to count downloads, they might have no idea how much people actually uses other browsers... many probably download whole Chrome browser just to took fresh from it
