-modesetting have its own release already, or is it still MIA?
All opinions are my own not those of my employer if you know who they are.

-modesetting is part of the X Server Git tree so should generally always be compatible.

By looking in /var/log/Xorg.0.log or systemd-journald (depends where X logs arer stored).

            Code:
            /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[505]: X.Org X Server 1.18.99.902 (1.19.0 RC 2)

I guess that would be something like

                X -version

I'm still struggling to get my Radeon 7670 + i7 Ivy Bridge laptop to play nice on any distro. I just want one chip to work. The last year seems to have made my laptop pretty much useless for 3D without some hacking up of conf files etc (and even thats still not working properly). Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've been testing vanilla, Oibaf and Padoka PPA's, official and ubuntu mainline kernels without much success in any combination. Arch gave similarly crap results all of which were virtually 0.1 FPS. After killing the 3D app, the whole machine was still running slow until a hard reset.
                  Hi

Is the libinput integration also in the git tree?
