    After command line ffmpeg, avidemux is the best tool to convert videos. I love its KISS philosophy.

      I remember this vaguely from years ago trying to use it. I recall it being *impossible* to get audio and video to synchronize, even when transcoding one, the other, or both tracks. Default output format is still "AVI". Come on, does anybody still use that dilapidated and broken old container?
