    So, what's the "gbm2" status? Has any progress been made? Did developers agree on the general infrastructure? And will this "renderer-only" library (or rather interface?) will be completely nuked once it lands?

            The GC7000 isn't outdated, it supports Vulkan and can hardware decode and encode some modern video codecs. Obviously support needs to be added to get the GC7000 working.
