    Phoronix: Wayland 1.13 Alpha & Weston 2.0 Alpha Released

    Bryce Harrington of Samsung's Open-Source Group has announced the alpha release of Wayland 1.13 along with the Weston 2.0 alpha release. Rather than it being Weston 1.13, it's bumping to Weston 2.0 for this reference Wayland compositor...

          No news on tablet support for xwayland? Right now tablets like those from Wacom don't work with apps going through xwayland which is most applications including Gimp, Inkscape, etc.

              A good thing, maybe now there will be less confusion between Wayland and Weston.
              Also Wayland is set to stabilize but Weston has still room to grow..
