                From the original link in the article on Twitter, from there right away you could see the AMD reply/response, thus wasn't of much sense to just link to that as it's shown right on same page.

                  That's pretty interesting. There is no bug filed at freedesktop.org for RadeonSI so the only reason I can imagine might be the OpenGL 3.0 string that might force people to override again.
                  I really hope this string will be fixed soon because until then you can never know whether the game has issues without overriding something or if it will work automatically as soon as the string has been updated to 4.5

                    AMDGPU-PRO is OpenGL 4.5 compliant, and so is Mesa. If something's wrong, why don't they file a bug report or contact AMD? Plus it's not cross-platform with Windows... so far, I'm not seeing any reason to buy this over Civ V.
