                Are you sure mesa 17 has a hard requirement on llvm 4.x?

                  It doesn't, of course.

                  radv requires 3.9 as a minimum, and that's the most extreme. radeonsi is now requiring 3.8, but that's only for mesa 17.1, not 17.0.
