One change is going to be the fix for Mad Max, HITMAN, etc. rendering too dark, which Feral mentioned in their Facebook post.

Looking forward to the benchmarks, in case there are any other unmentioned benefits.

Oh, 70 days since last driver, new serie... cool, there are various changes there.

      Let me check profiles...

Dirt Rally, Hitman, Civ VI Likely Civ VI should see big boost, etc...

KCL code mentioned kernels 4.8 and 4.9... probably these are supported, but not 4.10... just i guess.

Yeah, unfortunately no go on FreeSync with these new drivers. Had to go back to the previous 16.60 drivers. Bummer =/

Fwiw, when I typed the following command it did show it as capable and enabled:

          $ DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --prop | grep freesync
          freesync_capable: 0
          freesync: 0
          freesync_capable: 1
          freesync: 1
          freesync_capable: 0
          freesync: 0
          freesync_capable: 0
          freesync: 0

but in game (Rocket League and CS:GO), the FPS wasn't changing while viewing my monitor's OSD Information tab, which is a good way to verify FreeSync is working.

Still, Pitcairn graphics card doesn't work. this same error as in version 16.60. Maybe, next release will be better.

Seems Pitcairn in Russia does work, but slow

Here Polaris also, slow and regressions:

Hard to find good comment on any language... Тут скорее "АМД + linux = кал".

Oh, yes, installed with --px flag on my laptop (intel HD5500 + AMD FirePro m4150/Radeon r7 m260x), switched to performance mode, reboot done aaaaand...this time it didn't even reach the login screen (16.60 freezes at login). Very well. I honestly like a lot the work AMD is being doing with Linux, but the truth is that for certain GCN 1.0 users the transition path from fglrx is just...well, actually there is no transition path at all. I just CAN'T use opensource drivers (both intel and radeon are simply not reliable for engineering software usage, it seems that they are not reliable for anything but gaming...), I need enterprise quality drivers and still I am forced to keep my Xubuntu 14.04.3 installation + fglrx 15.12. In april 2017. Great.
