    DRI2? Isn't it supposed to be a part of X starting with X Server 1.6?

        DRI2 Support was dropped while GEM was moved into the kernel in favor over TTM. DRI2 is still in the development branches and its last stable is in main but its not being built by default. Its still being developed and still getting fixes. If you wanted you can always still build DRI2 from source.
