Phoronix: Running Intel Kabylake Graphics On Linux 4.12

Does the Linux 4.12 kernel bring any performance improvements for Intel graphics? Here are some OpenGL/Vulkan tests for Intel Kabylake graphics with Linux 4.10 vs. 4.11 vs. 4.12 when using Mesa 17.2-dev...

I'm guessing the hardware is already maxed out.

I'm guessing the hardware is already middle out. Who knows there is nothing to compare of that, maybe only against Windows or something.

Maybe Michael should prepare some soft rendering for 16c/32t AMD'sThreadripper or i9 12/24 Intel's... these might beat 10 years old cards with CPU only maybe

Just received the Lenovo "KabyLake" ThinkPad T470s on Friday for Linux development & testing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPd7mqCDCHc
First impression are rather rock solid - need to collect and setup some graphic intense demo benchmarks things to compile some numbers for that, too ;-)

I wish this site would have desktop performance tests rather than games (children) tests. Web browser GPU acceleration performance, moving windows around etc. UHD video acceleration with modern GPU-s included.
