Phoronix: Some Fresh Tests With Mesa's Continuing KHR_no_error Work

Given the continued flow of KHR_no_error patches hitting Mesa 17.2 Git by Valve developers, here is a fresh comparison using the just-updated Padoka PPA with comparing the impact of using this support via the MESA_NO_ERROR=1 switch...

Dirt Rally seems to like MESA_NO_ERROR=1 but all tested games had fps gains.

Testing a slower CPU might show greater performance delta, though evidently even 4-core SkyLake @ 4GHz is a bottleneck in a lot of cases.

I haven't had any luck sending environment variables to PTS tests. How do you do this?

Would love to see Civ VI results whenever looking at CPU-bound apps. It's not in the greatest shape of all games, even on Nvidia side.

Just set them before running PTS, and when running Steam in a separate terminal, make sure you set it for Steam too prior to running it (not sure if that part is entirely necessary, but have noticed some env vars in the past only work when the Steam process has it set).
