Can it transition from boot (UEFI / POST) to Linux kernel (splash screen) to GDM to Wayland (GNOME) without any flickering or mode switch?

    Does it support 10-bit?
    Does it support HDR?
When will there be support for VESA Adaptive-Sync?

good questions, and will broadwell still be a beneficiary of these majors changes, or has the drift started to newer architectures such as skylake/kabylake/cannonlake?

I anticipate that rc6 DRM dealtime is mandatory for all later releases. It seems that it was only temporary state, yet.

The changes seem to be in Dave's drm-next tree.

Looks like the pull request was only a couple of days after rc6, and I imagine Daniel probably talked to Dave before the deadline.
