    Yesterday the GTK tool-kit added support for KDE's server-side decorations on Wayland to be used when client-side decorations are not active. Now it's been proposed adding the KDE Server Decoration Protocol to the upstream Wayland-Protocols repository...

    There were some interesting blog posts on planet.kde.org about CSD vs SSD several years ago, I'm surprised that it wasn't resolved long time ago (I guess that Mir vs Wayland war stole the show).

    Is the common naming for icons in themes the only major thing approved and implemented in more or less compatible way by all desktop environments in recent years (cannot fully agree on notifications, use slightly incompatible application databases etc.)?...
