    Any reason why GCC received this patches first, or is just related to merge window/release management of each compiler?

      Wow, so how far back do you have to go until they actually had to change the latency timings or issue slots for an architecture? Is there really no meaningful micro-architectural change since Skylake? That's pretty sad.

      If they don't hurry up and get their 10 nm fabs online, AMD could soon overtake them.
