A French website has compared Fedora, Ubuntu, and Vista with Unreal Tournament 2004, Quake 4, and Enemy Territory. The results are interesting, but I have never heard of this site before.

Would have been more of a proper test if they had used the same fglrx version drivers on Ubuntu and Fedora.
As for Vista, there are known issues with games at the moment.
I would have considered it a great test had they used Windows XP instead of Vista and used the same version of drivers on Fedora and Ubuntu. I know there isn't a whole lot of difference between versions but you need to compare apples to apples on the same kernel base.
It is however, quite interesting anyway.
Yes, veeery interesting... :)
That's a weird roundup. Comparing a brand new OS to stable Linux distros using games that have been out for a long time. Strange.

Windows Vista vs. Windows XP vs. Ubuntu Linux: There's a new OS in town, but can it compare to our comfy slippers, or even the diamond in the rough?
(I really don't like this article, it's inaccurate IMO)
With all the reported issues with gaming on Vista, I find it hard to believe that Vista beats anything at gaming.
Hi,
Another interesting comparison between Vista & Ubuntu can be found at http://itcomparison.com/OS/vistavsub...tavsubuntu.htm
