Asus Xonar D2X - No 7.1

Hi,

according to the alsa-wiki, the Asus XonarD2X should support 7.1 sound but I only get 5.1.

I use Kubuntu 9.10 and my KMix shows me 7 controls but 2 of them aren't working.

Alsamixer shows me only 5.

Has anybody encountered this problem or knows how to fix it?

It works fine in Windows and, whats really pi**ing me off, it works under gnome. (I use Kubuntu and installed gnome-core to test it)

Old version of Alsa ?
