Indeed, but do we have a search historic for such questions on IRC?
Because this forums track questions/answers, are public and are searchable.
Indeed, and the site allows google to search those logs.
Cool.
The hard part for irc: the lag, because I'm UTC+1.
Then it would be nice to have a mailing list... (not the global dri one, one specific to AMD GPU open source dev).
Let me guess... there is one?
#radeon covers AMD GPU-specific stuff. That channel is logged as well and there's a menu on cbrill's pages to switch between dri-devel, radeon and nouveau, but the menu changed a few days ago and isn't working for me.
What I did for the last few days was to tweak the URL replacing dri-devel with radeon etc...
What I wanted to say is: due to the time lag (I'm UTC+1), IRC is quite less convenient than a mailing-list to replace those forums for such questions.
UTC+1 is same time zone as western Europe, isn't it ? That's where half our team lives ;)
We went kinda global -- Michel and Christian are in Europe, Alex and Tom are in North America.
Thought all significant devs were north america based!
my bad...
Please update the first post and pin it instead :)
