Did compile+install, and it works OK .. But unfortunately the developers seem to hate MSN, one of the most popular IM-networks in my country (Norway). Pidgin's MSN-support has been poor for a long time now, and I decided to finally ditch it. Using Emesene, now: http://www.emesene.org/.
Screw all the other protocols, I'm tired of them, and the general lousy quality of multi-protocol messenger applications (only supporting the bare minimum for each protocol).
So Kopete stepped up to that plate... Hm... Wonder what they did to get there or if they stepped on the patent stuff and just didn't care. After all, the Patents are only enforceable in the US for the large part anyhow. ;)
