Weird. We're in a situation now where EA actually publishes Linux games but Activision is hostile to Linux.
Never thought I'd see *that* happen.
I just noticed that in my kernel, I have the "Cryptographic API" (in menuconfig) disabled.
What is this actually used for?
Oooold thread. So let's see what changed on AMD's side.
People were telling me that the OSS drivers will be up to par with the "real" drivers soon, and that I should wait instead of buying a GTX....
Mint could get a nice build server and grab the src debs instead. Unless they lack funds to do that.
I used it for C. Works just fine. Lost touch with it though 3 years ago when I switched to Qt Creator :-P
No separate multimedia, volume up/down and "Sleep" keys, no programmable macro keys. 120$.
Is this a joke? These guys are depending on idiots to throw money at them just because the keys go...
OK, that's a first. I'm quite surprised by this.
I assume this is only possible if they actually have installed a backdoor on your system. You can't just "do stuff" on other peoples Linux machines remotely just like that, unless they're going in by...
Maybe it's just a crazy theory, but it could be that the lack of Linux support by the warez scene (no cracked Linux games) contributes to people not using it.
I suspect that warez have a lot in...
Nope, performance parity is only one thing to take into consideration. There's no driver API that would allow us to write a clone of NVidia Inspector for Linux. Also, the control panel is a very sad...
An overpriced piece of hardware again. No, thank you.
SteamOS is not here to promote Linux. It's here to promote Steam. They're not interested in Desktop Computing. They are interested in selling video games.
Compare OpenCL bitcoin miners. How much faster are the 64-bit ones?
You misunderstood. They're not removing 64-bit support. They simply might not bundle the CUDA driver together with the graphics driver anymore. Might be a different download in the future.
There are some good gdb front-ends out there. Does this developer not know about them? I too don't use gdb directly, since CLI is not good enough for debugging. I need to always have the information...
This only implements command line arguments used by cl.exe. Nothing more.
Is MPV still missing front-end support? Any news?
It's still tables though, right? :-P
