Valve is as bad as Apple, and Steam is hostage-ware. You don't own anything, you can't sell it or give it to a friend when you're done. You can't do much at all. It was very slow and buggy for years...

I agree with the article. I tried the Windows 8 preview a few weeks ago and I think Metro UI is a FAIL.
I run Linux and prefer FOSS when possible, but Windows IS the world's dominant workstation...

I got that bug again where amdcccle / control center shows an older version number on the Information page. It says 11.6.. :/

Yes several of us have the lower right corner freeze up bug. Sounds like it is still present in 11.7.
