I'm having the exact same error as c0un7d0wn. I'm using Gutsy with the default compiz package (0.6 I think), on a laptop. I have yet to find way to fix it.

hmmm strange... the ATI's website still shows up the 8.41 driver for R600 chips and the old 8.40 driver for non-R600 ones. I guess they did not update it yet...

I have a laptop equipped with an ATI Radeon Mobility x1600 card and I must admit I truly hope ATI will release AIGLX-compatible drivers soon. Unfortunately, I cannot use the open-source driver.
