Same bug for me, but this new official AMD drivers version is working better for me than the last beta.

Skyrim V works well with wine > 1.5.1x

Until Canonical and Steam are working on this, this command line is your friend:

metacity --replace&

and the game have full access to your compuetr ressources.

GOG provides games without drm too.

In fact, this drivers works great!! I talked about wine games: on Unity, wine 3D games like Skyrim or AION have a poor framerate. I need to replace Unity with metacity to play them at full speed.

yes, fglrx drivers are now avalaible for quantal, but with poor performance compared to same config with precise

Finally Ubuntu Quantal put them fglrx drivers version. I just installed them, they work but it a little bit too slow, they need optimization.
