Yeah, I know, 640x480 windowed is just what I run most of the time, so the game doesn't get in the way when working on it.
With the same settings @1600x900 its 79fps on all three runs.
Sounds strange, there's no exception I know of. Got a backtrace?
With X11, Radeon 6850 and i5-3570K, SwapbuffersWait off, vblank_mode=0, ultra quality settings @640x480 windowed, 64bit release build (vanilla is 32bit only) I ran 'timeDemo demo1.demo' 4 times,...
Eh? Neither did I claim that you said A is better than B. My argument about your logic still stands.
Because bridgman posts here and admits that things didn't work out as planned makes them idiots?...
Yeah, right. NV is completely ignoring open source GPU support. Non existing drivers avoid news about some missing or lackluster features.
Great logic you applied there.
That video wasn't about performance, its about the port running on wayland.
It was a debug build, weston was running on x11, and the capture process itself adds a significant overhead. So the on...
If anyone wants to give it a try, I pushed my changes to the SDL2 wl driver to https://github.com/dhewg/libsdl, branch 'wl'.
Nice, I once found a video about dhewm3 on AROS on youtube, guess that was you then? :)
Do you mean the door where the cutscene "took you some time, marine" starts?
Well, the current name doesn't bother me, and 'iodoom3' implies a connection to icculus.org.
The question with iodoom3 comes up every now and then, and I think nobody knows.
Back in december, when I had the 64bit version up and running, I opened a pull request over at git.iodoom.org, but...
Nah, its okay.
The primary issue is that I don't know GL well enough, so I barely touched any renderer stuff in the tree (well apart from cleanups and refactoring).
I actually have an older patch...
Radeon 6850 and i5-3570K at stock clocks.
Well, that was captured with weston running on x11 because I ran into an issue with weston straight on drm. On top of that, the capture process slowed the game down a little.
So no real numbers to...
I started playing with wayland, and fixed/improved the SDL2 wayland video driver.
Since capturing videos with wl is a breeze (and we all love videos): preview
I think you might be reading too much of this phoronix blog... your conclusion "OpenAL is inferior to SDL_audio" couldn't be more wrong.
While GPL is a nice license, there's this argument that forcing 3rd parties to release source modifications isn't equal to a quality contribution.
I didn't claim that maintaining stability branches and security updates didn't exist in other places. The point was that there's a single upstream vendor which maintains kernel and userland on all...
Dude, you've got issues.
And that's actually one of my reasons for using FreeBSD on my server: Linux is huge and the amount of patches from one version to the next is overwhelming. More changes,...
this reminds me of user spending time complaining about the work of others instead of trying to grasp that their priorities do not have to be aligned with upstream projects.
