fglrx needs the old init_mm symbol, but it was marked as "unused symbol" in 2.6.25. With this release, setting CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS to "y" should work,...

Yes subvertigo....i have the same issue

Now installed the driver, here some impressions:

1. +100 fps in fgl_glxgears on a Radeon 9550 (~612fps)
2. Vlc with OpenGL output works fine (i could post my xorg.conf if anyone needs)
3. Xvideo...

I get the same error with compiz since i have updated to Xorg 1.4 with fglrx 8.40.4 and 8.42.3

The available output in Vlc are:
1. X11 (default?...uhm i don't remember)...
2. Xvideo extension
