X1950pro AGP on PCLinuxOS finally can do video XV and use TVTime! Yay!

But I still get flickering overlays, GL & XV, when using compiz.

And my frame-rates only show ~60 fps in fgl/glxgears?...

The x1950 pro AGP still flickers in mplayer using -vo xv, but is stable with much higher cpu use with -vo x11. I don't see 8.3 as being any better than 8.2

The file "ati-driver-installer-8-3-x86.x86_64.run" from http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/linux/linux-radeon.html contains 15 bytes - "File not found."

Looks like the interrupt issue in 7.12 is fixed! No more interrupt errors, and X doesn't lock-up when I logout or ctrl-alt-bkspc

I tried playing a DVD and found it was indeed choppy. Another PCLinOS install on the same system using Mesa & not ATI-DRI, was much better, X11/Xshm driver, the CPU load 1/2 without dropped frames.
