Wow!!! LMFAO! Somebody doesn't know the first thing about frequency governors or how to test them. Unless there is something particularly broken about them, when maximum CPU is demanded, they will...
Contrary to some other responses in this thread, yes, that would be some weird intel fuckup. Performance governor basically does this; it sets everything to full speed all of the time. Even having to...
Take a minute or two to browse your phone or tablet over to ANY website that is render heavy. Watch chrome fall flat on its face and peg your CPU. Watch chrome become totally unresponsive. Watch...
You stop name calling first, since you started it.
Next issue is for you to actually KNOW something before trying to answer anything from anyone. Might stop you from giving WRONG or NOT-APPLICABLE...
Faster? On WHAT? Chrome is a cow. FF is at least a factor of 10 faster in rendering.
You obviously don't know what you're doing. You certainly can do mp4 file streaming. Move the metadata to the front of the file and it will stream happily. qt-faststart is one utility that can do it...
Its bigger than that. Android has over 75% of the smartphone market.
Lets have a critical look at your points;
Pretty much everything has this now.
I just had a look at that and its actually a really crappy keyboard. The button alignment is in a grid, which...
The good news is that it supports the only thing likely to ever be used by anybody. H264.
Everybody besides trolls being deliberately obtuse.
ASSHOLE.
Go troll elsewhere.
Exactly! (10chars)
There is not one single responsible person on the planet who would actually use BFS. The reality of it is that it is an epic bloody mess of contradictions that are guaranteed to explode in just about...
nvidia is not= to nouveau.
Some simple math:
1280x720=921,600
1920x1080=2,073,600
2,073,600/921,600=2.25
2.25x30%=67.5% <-- there is your ***AVERAGE*** CPU use for decoding a 1080p video at the same 30 fps.
Now, near 70%...
That's really funny, because my laptop is running the open source drivers, and I exceed the advertised battery life by over an hour.
I already pointed out that it indicates that it is only capable of mpeg2 decoding, which means its definitely NOT UVD. Mpeg2 really shouldn't take up 30% CPU, even 1080p, except maybe on a crap CPU...
And there we have it... compositing, aka "TURD".
... one of the reasons I'm using MATE DE. Its actually *fast* and easy on the CPU. Even when I have 50 or 100 windows open. Try that with compositing...
Fact remains that compositing does NOT help the CPU. It loads the CPU with more irrelevant crap that doesn't need to be done at all.
