    Unhappy how to specify which head is the primary monitor?

    i have a lcd tv connect to HDMI, and a crt connect to VGA.

    ati2600hd, ubuntu8.04

    1. first time i install ati 8.11, then upgrade to 8.12, the crt
    is the primary monitor, the login screen is on the crt.

    2. then i reinstall the ubuntu, and reinstall the 8.12, the hdmi head
    became the primary monitor

    i have try many method to take the crt as primary monitor but failed.
    Modify the xorg.conf : there is no document about the ati driver's option, (but i have seen Nvidia's document). so i failed take the crt back to primary monitor.

    .....

    These are the aticonfig options:
    Code:
      --swap-monitor
            This only works for big desktop setup. This will swap the
            contents on the two monitors.
      --swap-screens={on|off}
            Enable/disable swap heads in dual-head mode.
            This option works only in dual-head mode.
    Does any of them help?
