Can you tell us which version of the driver you are using, and how much system memory you have ( this later one can affect your system if you have 3 or more gb of memory on a 32 bit kernel. ).
Hi! I noticed in the Catalyst Control Center that not all the memory is detected by the ATI drivers... I have an ATI Radeon 9550 with 256MB of RAM, while the CCC says that I have 128MB!!
The only distro which detects all the memory is Sabayon Linux.... why?
I use Arch Linux and my MoBo is an ASUS P4R800-V Deluxe...
Can you tell us which version of the driver you are using, and how much system memory you have ( this later one can affect your system if you have 3 or more gb of memory on a 32 bit kernel. ).
can you please now state which driver revision your using... this is easily figured out, just use this command:
dmesg | grep fglrx
one only needs the line stating the version... this should provide some details on what to do next... you might not be running a more recent version of the driver.
I'm using Catalyst 8.5, but this problem occurs with every version of the driver, infact "dmesg | grep fglrx" says:
However I saw some "interesting" lines... here's the complete output:Code:[fglrx] module loaded - fglrx 8.49.7 [May 12 2008] with 1 minors

No one can help me?
Now I'm using Catalyst 8.6, but the problem is here...
Here's the updated "dmesg | grep fglrx"

I had it the other way around. X detected 256MB of ram on my x1950pro and AMDCCCLE detected the full 512MB. Maybe Bridgman or someone else will be able to get you an answer.
I guess the extra 256 mb are something like Turbo Cache via PCI-E.

I don't know the status of the CCCLE memory display issue - the only wierd thing is that all of the screenshots I have seen with wrong display memory mentioned were in Italian so wondering if it might be a translation issue. Gianfrix, which language is your system using ?
The AGP error messages in Gianfrix's log also look a bit suspicious.
