You can try:
Lives http://lives.sourceforge.net/,
Kino http://www.kinodv.org/,
Kdenlive http://kdenlive.org/
Avidemux http://kdenlive.org/
Hi,
I'm looking for a video editing solution on Linux. I have cinelerra installed and that hasn't worked out at all. It wouldn't open my videos and it kept crashing. I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy and hoping there's another software out there I can use.
You can try:
Lives http://lives.sourceforge.net/,
Kino http://www.kinodv.org/,
Kdenlive http://kdenlive.org/
Avidemux http://kdenlive.org/
Basically, I need a software to import my video files and allow me to edit and splice video and audio streams. Something that Pinnacle Video Spin or Windows Movie Maker allows me to do.
I was thinking of Lives but don't really know if it does what I want. Kino, I think is for transferring videos from a DV cam to your PC. Not sure.
Thanks for all the input.
Edit:
Just installed avidemux. So far it looks promising, except when it loaded my video, I only got a green screen. The video plays on mplayer with this:
Selected video codec: [fraps] vfm: vfw (FRAPS: Realtime Video Capture)
