On-topic: Is this based in any way on Sun's Java source code? Changes like these have a tendency to break things.
I use Fedora 9 and I was disappointed when I found out, that OpenJDK doesn't include the Java plugin for Firefox.

Well there is an open plugin, it just does not work with the websites I use. Until a website requires Java 1.5/1.6 the best to use is still 1.4.2 for Linux.
Do you know if there are plans on open sourcing the plugin also?
The OpenJDK is now the same as Sun's JDK. ( http://twit.tv/floss33 )
Also, I'd like to see gnash bundled with Ubuntu soon.
Yep, openJDK is 95% or so original sun java source code...On-topic: Is this based in any way on Sun's Java source code?
Isn't gnash in ubuntu for a few releases yet? Also, I'd like to see gnash bundled with Ubuntu soon.
