I'm guessing the benchmark needs a level of openGL that the open source drivers do not yet support. Fglrx has "full" openGL specs. so it should work. The xserver will only give you problems if you're using 1.5 (the driver does not support it yet).
I recently tried to run the Unigine sanctuary demo and got the following error:
I did not see this extension in the glxinfo output.Unigine fatal error
GLRender::require_extension(): required extension GL_ARB_occlusion_query is not supported
Is this a driver issue?
I am using Intrepid with the open source ati drivers.
My card is an X1600 PCI-E.
I would rather not use them, but will the proprietary drivers solve this issue?
I read somewhere that they won't work with the new xserver.
