Default so when will video playback will be fixed ?

I am interested in knowing if it's a matter of weeks or months, because I plan to build 25 Nvidia pciexpress video card that will work for videos, since I have two pci 16x slots for a cross fire on windows that I will not use since I need another video card than a hd4850 to play videos on linux ...

Its funny that Intel's driver doesn't use any trick yet it supports textured video under composite desktop. It looks highly promising, except that the G33 chipset doesn't provide enough performance under compiz to playback video smoothly, and my HD 4850 just flickers like hell.... so sad
