Big Desktop resolution

Hi,
I'm using the latest driver 8.34.8 on a radeon mobility 9600

I'm trying to get one desktop share in two screens, my laptop one 1400x1050 and an lcd 1280x1024. Using the aticonfig utilities I can have those two screens working, except that
the Vertical refresh frequency of the second screen should be 60Hz whereas it's 75, and the second part of the desktop does not fit on the second screen.

($)aticonfig --list-pairmode
Get pair modes : 2
0 1400x1040 + 1280x1024 --> 2680x1040
1 1400x1050 + 1400x1050 --> 2800x1050

Although I never specified the #1 mode

I also have in my xorg.conf those options :
Option "VRefresh2" "60.0-60.0"
Option "SwapScreens" "off"
Option "DesktopSetup" "horizontal"
Option "PairModes" "1400x1040+1280x1024"
Option "Mode2" "1280x1024"


what am i doing wrong ?

btw, When in dual-head mode, i'm unable to wake up from suspend to ram. Any idea how to fix this (I would prefer use dual head than big desktop)
