Hi all. For better or worse ( currently worse ), I bought a laptop with an RS780MC ( [Radeon HD 3100 ) chip. I'm using the beta release of fglrx that was posted here a little while back. For those wondering why or perhaps thinking about recommending that I don't use beta software ... all previous releases have had critical issues, including locking hard when I log out and gdm restarts X, random lockups, zero 2D acceleration ... the list goes on. Unfortunately this beta fixes none of that Where's my open-source Christmas present? I wish someone would post a beta of that.

Anyway, I'm straying off-course. If I enable TexturedVideo ( and then f'n reboot because I can't restart X without a full lockup ), I select XV in gstreamer-properties. It tests fine, works with compiz, etc, etc. I can also use the XV port OK with mplayer. But rhythmbox visualisation plugins render all wrong. It's difficult to describe - it looks like maybe it's zoomed WAAAAAAY in, or something. Is this a known issue?
