Phoronix: Fedora 11 Is Codenamed Leonidas
Since early December the Fedora community has been generating possible codenames for Fedora 11. Earlier this week the final voting took place where the active Fedora contributors had to ultimately decide on the codename to use for this next Linux release. The final choices were Blarney, Brasilia, Claypool, Duchess, Euryalus, Indomitable, Leonidas, and Zampone...

A release named Leonidas? Oh boy. Cue the "This is SPARTA!!" jokes...![]()
This is madness.
I see battalions of yum-crazed packages, konquering your desktop as the Anaconda installer yells "Μολών λαβέ!!!" at them. Fedora Leonidas surely will slay all other distributions: if it can't do it through market share grabbing... it will stab them to death! Prepare yourself, Ubuntu: Leonidas is going to eat jackalope soup for breakfast!
Seriously, this name could infuse morale into the Linux battlefield against Seven, a much stronger Windows than Vista. The timing is tight, and KDE 4.3 is our only choice to face Windows Seven.
