Just building the mesa radeon-rewite branch (without GEM/KMS) from git should give some fixes (e.g. Sauerbraten now works without any workaround, see http://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mes...3c24d29712404f and http://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mes...8ff648a6055c55).
