So are you saying "smart" is faster than "greedy"? Which one is faster?

Smart is faster in wall clock time while greedy takes less cpu time. So pick one which is better for you I did test both of them using top while scrolling firefox and running a 2D heavy wine application.

For me I always have spare cpu cycle so smart gives me way more responsive 2D performance. (I run all cpu heavy stuff using nice so UI doesn't take hit even if I compile something)

Thank you very much, i have been able to crate a xorg.conf and edited some settings. I dont know if I feel any difference, but the buzzing sound is almost gone, so it is a big step ahead.

But the 2d is still far from perfect. Konqueror and firefox still have very very slow scrolling and zooming, forceing me to use Opera. Any tips?
