Test Suite doesn't always run / low disk

Hi,

I'm rather new to linux and need to test 3 servers for mem and h-disk performance..

I managed to get the mem test post results, but afterwards when I tried to run hdisk tests, I get %100 memory used..and nothing happens, no results.

Am I missing something? I have 4GB of memory!

The hdisk tests and memtests can take a really long time to finish. They are pretty intense. Start them and walk away for a while. As far as the memory usage is concerned that is done by design and is normal.

Can I test a hard drive that's not formatted / brand new? I'm getting test fail / no results posted.

Drives have to be formatted for some of the tests IIRC.
