    Hmm, I think, that only the 9.10 beta version in Ubuntu has 2.6.31 support.

    This driver, which is still behind the Ubuntu-Catalyst 9.10 driver that has support for the Linux 2.6.31 kernel and other improvements, has just one new feature: support for new Linux operating systems.

    I really don't care about xvba anymore. All i personally would like to see is XV just working like with free drivers.

    You should use mplayer -vo gl2

    This driver is much better than previous versions. Although the release notes are meagre and doesn't say much, this version contain fixes for some of the rendering problems I've experienced with previous releases.

    Interesting but is the performance good? I mean is it poibletoee a High Definition movie with an older chipset or with an older PC? I didn't change a graphics card for a long time and I don't have personal experience how Radeons work under Linux.
