Why does it sound like phoronix is whining and bitching all the time?
its like a little kid in the back seat of a car "are we there yet?" "no" "are we there yet?" ... Does not look good or professional.
Phoronix: X.Org 7.5 Release Candidate 1 Is Now Available
Back on the 2nd of October, X Server 1.7.0 was released after several delays with getting this major, MPX-bearing update released. However, the X.Org 7.5 release of all of the updated X packages was not released at the same time as X Server 1.7, in fact, it's still not released...

And why do you sound like an emotional teenager who's already had enough in his life?
To me, he sounds like a professional who's done exceptionally a good job reminding us that it's been so long since the last version was released and to inform us that a new one will finally be out soon but still need some fix and testing. It helps asking for volunteers without directly emphasizing it.
How else would you point out that there's a problem in the release system? At least he was not going, "OMGGG, about damn time, Alan Coopersmith!!"
Edit:
Love how the core is called "katamari".

To me, it sounds like putting pressure on X.org developers, period. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Besides, no one forces X.org devs -- or anyone else for that matter -- to read Phoronix. It's a sign of the site's popularity, and therefore its good grasp and coverage of all things to do with graphics in Linux, that a post on this site should be considered "pressure" of any kind. IMHO.
