Hi,
With a 30 inch monitor, videos at full screen had large chunks of black horizontal stripes covering 1/3 of the screen. At window size (not full screen) they look fine so the scaling seems to be the problem.
I loaded the newest ATI video driver. Now all of my system fonts are 1/4 their previous size, but the video is fixed.
I am trying to find the system font size and can't find anything. At "configure desktop", there is a font installer, but it just shows the existing fonts with an add/delete option. How do I change the default font? My shell prompt is ~4 pixels tall and totally unreadable.
Is there a catalyst utility to increase the default system font sizes?
You need to check the font sizes in the GNOME and Qt control panels. In Debian you can load the GNOME Control Center from the Debian submenu on the main menu, which contains control panels for the Qt library and the GNOME libraries that allow you to choose fonts and font sizes.
