Toshiba Satellite A85-S1072



Description: Toshiba Satellite Laptop, Celeron 1.4ghz, 256MB out of the box, ATI Radeon-mobile, etc.. It works.
Hardware Notes: This laptop was set up with Slackware 10.1 and worked immediately post install with little tweaking. ALSA did have to be recompiled to get the sound working, and I did install fglrx (the ATI drivers), however, I believe the video works a bit better without the proprietary ATI drivers.
